Youth Ministry

Youth Faith Formation

The youth ministry community at Jesus the Good Shepherd is open to youth from grades 6 through 12 and adult volunteers. Calendars and registration forms are available for download at the bottom of the page.

ACT (Active Catholic Teens) is a community of 10th-12th grade teens and our adult mentors. Teens are involved in faith formation, summer mission trips, retreats, community building activities and social gatherings. All teens are invited to explore your faith by asking questions, gathering as a community, and living in the light of the Gospel.

Summer Mission Trips: In partnership with the Glenmary Home Missioners, we are sent to two locations in rural America over the summer to lead a Vacation Bible School for small Catholic mission parishes that would not otherwise have the means to do so. These trips are life-changing for our teens, chaperones, and the communities we serve. Teens interested in attending mission trips should be faithfully involved in A.C.T. throughout the year.

MSY (Middle School Youth) is for 6th through 8th grade youth. Once per month we gather in fun & fellowship to bond as a community. MSY nights include games, food, and faith talks.
