Sun, Sept 27 - Covenant Sunday Celebration (RSVP for the meal recommended) - with physical distancing and CDC protocols in place

Covenant Sunday is, Sept 27 at 11:00 a.m. at the Pavilion followed by lunch and live music (kindly RSVP). this is the only Mass on Sunday, Sept 27; 4:30 Sat, Vigil Mass is still on)

In lieu of scrolls this year, we are asking everyone to take the “Love Thy Neighbor” pledge. The pledge is three parts:

#1 – Pray the Covenant Prayer. We will do this together on Covenant Sunday. Or, for those at home, pray the Covenant Prayer with your families before dinner. (see link below for the prayer).

#2 – Inspired by the hearts on our pews for physical distancing, we are asking all members of the JGS Community to take the "Love Thy Neighbor" pledge. This part we will do silently in our hearts.

Throughout the year, pledge to pray for:
- Blessings and support of each other

- All those impacted by the pandemic

- Sanctity of life

- Healing in our world

and pledge to keep each other safe by following the Covid-19 protocols.

#3 – Give us your John Hancock! Sign your name on the pledge banner on Covenant Sunday. Don't be shy, write your name with the Sharpie. Not coming to Mass? That is OK. Click the blue button to have your name added to the pledge list and we will write your name on the banner for you.

Following Mass, a special lunch is planned. In keeping the Covid-19 protocols, and with an abundance of caution, the lunch will be boxed. To keep lines to a minimum there will be multiple stations available. For dining on the premises, tables will be set-up or you may bring your own blanket or chair.

For your dining pleasure, live music will be performed by Ryan Webster!

We do need your RSVP for the lunch so we can plan accordingly. Please click on the bottom of the pink box where it says, "number of meals" or call Laura or Sheryl in the church office.

The Covenant Sunday boxed lunch includes:

a pulled pork sandwich, baked beans, an additional side dish, chips, and a pre-wrapped dessert. To avoid long lines, several stations will be set-up to obtain a boxed meal. Additionally, at each station, pre-wrapped hot dogs will be available.

RSVP is highly recommended. Please call the church office at 410-257-3810
