We are a Pro Life Community

Our JGS Pro-Life Ministry reaches out to educate the church community on life issues, prays for greater protections for human life from conception to natural death, supports pro-life positions, provides help to local pro-life crisis pregnancy centers, and petitions our elected officials to defend the sanctity of human life.

We support the Archdiocese of Washington and the Maryland Catholic Conference in all of their pro-life efforts. Recent issues of concern include parental notification, human cloning, embryonic stem cell research, the death penalty, assisted suicide, and abortion.

January is Respect Life Month

The March for Life is Friday, January 23. JGS will have a bus going to the march leaving JGS at 10:30 a.m. and returning approximately by 5:00 p.m. To ensure a spot on the bus, please sign up on the clipboard in the atrium of the church. Or contact Buzz Burek at buzzburek@comcast.net or 301-812-1868 or text to 301-751-1538. A goodwill offering is greatly appreciated for the cost of the bus. An envelope will be passed on the bus.
Donuts and coffee will be provided from 10-10:30 in the Centre located to the left when you enter the church. Restrooms available in the Centre.
There is amble parking in the main church parking lot.
