Catholic Relief Services—Rice Bowl
Ending Hunger With CRS Rice Bowl
This Lent, our community will participate in CRS Rice Bowl—connecting our prayers, fasting and almsgiving to encounter God through our global family. We’ll meet, pray for and learn from families in Ghana, Guatemala and Timor-Leste who are rising above the challenges of hunger and malnutrition. Pick up your rice bowl from the table in the atrium. Then, visit crsricebowl.org/join to share your Lenten prayer intentions. Rice bowls will be collected beginning on Holy Thursday.

GOOD FRIDAY CONFESSIONS, April 3, 12:00-1:00 p.m.
Why Confession?
To receive the Gift of Peace from Christ after confessing one’s sins and after receiving sacramental absolution from a priest
To receive the Eucharist worthily, to be without sin on one’s soul and to begin a new “spiritual chapter” in one’s life
Don’t be afraid! The priest stands ready to guide and lead you to make a good confession
The Church recommends all Catholics participate in this sacrament at a minimum once a year
“Abortion is profoundly anti-woman. Three-quarters of its victims are women: Half the babies and all the mothers.”
St. Teresa of Calcutta
Small Group Bible Study - Journey through the Gospel of Matthew - led by Father Peter
Sundays after the 10:45 a.m. Mass in the Centre, approx 12:15 p.m., may start earlier
The 40 Days For Life Annapolis Spring Campaign
www.40DaysForLife.com/en/Annapolis)
40 DAYS FOR LIFE NEEDS YOU! We pray the Rosary outside Planned Parenthood at 929 West Street, Annapolis, where abortions take place 5 days a week. Please commit to pray, fast and tell others about the 40DFL vigil to end abortion. This spring, from Ash Wednesday (February 18) to Palm Sunday (Sunday, March 29), our church stands vigil, prays and fasts during two different time periods:
Thursdays 10:00-11:00 (a carpool from the church is available), and/or
Saturdays 10:15-11:15
Contact Gina Jowers at gjowers55@yahoo.com or 240-620-4406 for more information.
Our strength lies not in loud protests, but in quiet, persistent prayer and presence in this spiritual battle. Be a voice for vulnerable pre-born babies as we pray for all those affected by the culture of death. Former abortion workers report that when someone prays in front of an abortion facility, the "no-show" rate for abortion appointments can go to as high as 75 percent! Please help us change hearts and minds through prayer.
Lenten Evening of Prayer
Thursday, March 12 from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.
More information will be provided as we get closer to the date. Stay tuned to Flocknote and the bulletin.
40 Days of Prayer for Vocations
Choose one or more of our Seminarians from the “Vocations Tree”.
Here’s something simple you and your family can do for Lent. Locate the “Vocations Tree” display in atrium with cards hanging on it. Each card has information about a seminarian of The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington. Choose a card (or more than one) and pray for that seminarian each day during Lent.
